The Forward Engineering Collective is a group of like-minded organizations working together to advance the E in STEM education. Rooted in a shared commitment to four collective actions, we are building a more inclusive, connected, and visible future for engineering learning in Canada.

What makes the collective powerful is our collaborative muscle—organizations pooling their expertise, reach, and creativity to make change that sticks. Together, we’re tackling systemic barriers, sparking new ideas, and creating more opportunities for learners to discover what engineering is really about.

The 2023 Where is the E in STEM? report identified the need for a community of practice to align efforts, break down silos, and build lasting capacity for inclusive engineering learning across Canada. The collective is answering that call—bringing together passionate changemakers who believe engineering has a vital role to play in shaping a more equitable, sustainable, and creative future.

By aligning efforts and sharing knowledge, we're creating impact none of us could achieve alone.  If your organization shares this vision, there are many ways to get involved—from joining the Forward Engineering Collective, to amplifying the work through partnership or support. Learn how to get involved.

Founding partners

Our founding partners were the first to say yes—to the vision, the collaboration, and the power of a common agenda. These six organizations laid the foundation for the Forward Engineering Collective, co-developing the collective actions and setting the stage for a new kind of impact in engineering education.
